Blog #41: Korean Skin - Banila Co. Cover 10 Perfect Foundation Review

I'm a BB Cream / Cushion type of girl so when the lovely people from Banila Co. Korean and Banila Co. PH sent over some gorgeous gifts including a liquid foundation, I got super excited!

The Cover 10 Foundation comes in a simple, clean white box that carries Banila Co.'s logo and the products claim to fame: Stay Fitting, Protect, Conceal.

The foundation is stored inside a sleek glass bottle and covered effectively by a silver metallic cap. I love how easy it is to use as the bottle contains a pump that releases the liquid.

It's more liquid-y than normal foundation. It's almost watery but comes off as semi-matte when blended on dry skin without any skin care routine. It has a clean, mild perfume scent which I like.

Here's how it looks like when applied on the face!

Let's do a quick BEFORE and AFTER:

BEFORE

AFTER

And here's after a total make-over. haha

What I think about it...

PACKAGING - it's simple and neat. I love the sleek glass bottle and the subtle metallic cap.

SCENT - it smells almost the same as the Primer Blur from Banila Co. which doesn't irritate my nose.

TEXTURE - I prefer this watery texture than those of the other foundations which is sticky and heavy. This is very light on the skin.

SHADE - it's at least two tones lighter than my skin tone considering BE20 is already its darkest shade but then again, this is a Korean product and most shades are compatible with fair, Korean skin.

LONGEVITY - this lasted a shorter than my Banila Co. Cushion, just under six (6) hours until I needed a retouch.

FINISH - it's matte when first applied and you might be a little overwhelmed by its coverage but the foundation thins as hours go and will leave skin looking dewy for dry to normal skin while a bit oily to those with oily skin when you reach the sixth hour. I recommend patting on finishing or sebum powder after application.

COVERAGE - Medium coverage which works for me. I don't want to look like I'm wearing super heavy foundation and I don't want to wear thin ones which exposes my skin flaws.

OVER-ALL VERDICT: 4.6

I highly-recommend this product for those who want a breath of fresh air from their usual foundations. Although this isn't as convenient as cushion foundation, this more than makes up for its lightweight feel yet satisfying coverage. I believe this suits dry to normal skin the best but to oily skin types like myself, don't be discouraged. You can still wear it so long as you don't neglect a good, reliable powder after.

    1. Aww... does your make-up darken pag tumagal? If you're acidic and want to try BB Cream and Korean foundations, get a shade lighter than your skin tone so it'll adjust more decently to your natural skin tone. ☺

    1. Yes. The coverage is medium which is reliable for concealing pimple marks yet not looking as if you're wearing heavy make-up. :)

    1. Yeah, I mix foundations and BB Creams too to get my shade and I love mixing the Espoir Face Slip Hydrating Foundation in Tan (05) with this Banila Co Foundation (BE20) since it's light on my skin. I reco Espoir foundations because they come out with good bases and Missha M Perfect Cover for BB Cream. Really nice natural finish with decent coverage. 👍 You can learn more about kbeauty by following these vloggers on Youtube: Pony, Meejmuse, Lamuqe and Heizle. They're my absolute fave!
