Blog #40: What's In My Pouch - Normal Day Korean Make-up

When I was a kid, there's one section in the magazine that I always go straight to. It's a page wherein celebrities take out everything that's inside their bag and show off its contents, all shiny and sparkly and expensive as hell.

It was glorious and yes, I was jealous.

Which led me to this blog post. I'll be showing the make-up tools I use on a normal day which means this is my casual make-up kit. People may see it as a brag post (and maybe it is) but most important, I want to share with you what I've been loving on my skin, to give you some idea of how they work and share a few tips that may be relevant to you.

This is a special one since it's the first time I'm speaking in my vlog. YES, I'm revealing my voice for the first time! Please excuse though all the stuttering, senseless rambles and shaky cam because this is my first time capturing a video while talking spontaneously as well. Amateur here! haha

Above is my favorite make-up case which is from Too Cool For School. I love the graphics on this one and happy that my brushes and liners have their own comfy compartment which makes it easy for me to organize my things.

Alright. Enough with the serious talk and let's just go on to my vlog!

And this is my #makeupmess. haha Sadly, I just found out after editing that some of the items' videos were not recorded which means all my saliva and my efforts in opening the pretty tight cases with one hand went to waste. :'(

Anyway, here's a quick run down of the things that are inside of my make-up purse:

1. Hanyul Ja Woon Dan Moisturizing Cure Balm

2. Banila Co. It Shiny Shimmer Base

3. Banila Co. Fall In Seoul Limited Edition Cushion BE20

4. Banila Co. Prime Primer Finish Powder

5. Banila Co. Cover 10 Concealer BE20

6. Etude House Easy Brow Pencil #1 Dark Brown

7. Etude House Oh My Eye Line in Brown (not in the video)

8. Laneige Limited Edition Playnomore Shy Girl VIP Jet Curling Mascara

9. Banila Co. Fall In Seoul The Kissest Lip Lacquer Satin Fit in Hongdae Pink

10. Holika Holika Holy Berry Jelly Tint in #02

How are the things in my purse? Did you find any make-up that you also use or would like to use? Let me know your thoughts at the comments box below!

  3. I'm also curious on what's inside the celebrities bags. My make up kit is big as coin purse that can only fit my lip balm, lipstick and face powder. :)

    1. Diba? There's something exciting about a celebrity's stuff in her bag. Those (lip balm, lipstick and face powder) are the essentials though so tama lang. I just got used to bringing with me a lot. Haha

  4. I don't have a kikay kit! I don't bring one since the longest I am out is 4 -6 hours hehe

What's in my bag? Phone, bimpo and planner

    1. Bimpo is one thing I should carry around but always end up forgetting. Your essentials are apt for 4-6 hours I think. 👍

    1. I always get in trouble with hubby when I carry these around. Haha He said majority of my bag space has been invaded by this kit. I should learn to lessen them. :D

  7. I love your make-up case! :) my casual make-up kit consists of an eyebrow pencil, liquid foundation, concealer, finish powder, lipstick and lip gloss. Mostly elf stuff. Is that brand ok? Lol. I stopped using make-up when I became a sahm. I used to have everything for work. I could use a BB cream (I use TBS before) so I can ditch the others.

    1. I haven't tried elf but I've heard good reviews about it. If you're looking for a good bb cream, try Etude House Precious Mineral or Innisfree. The Innisfree one is organic. :)

    1. I used to wear lots of western make-up brands before but after discovering korean make-up, there was no turning back. :)

  12. That pouch is indeed too cool! Inside my kikay kit-- lots of lipsticks na Di naman nagagamit because I used to hoard lipsticks. Ihihi. Which gives me enough reason to trash na those I'm not using. Now na! Parang years na ata sila sa pouch Ko. Hala!

    1. Naku they have expiration pa naman. But yes, I hoard lip products din kasi they're all pretty lalo na pag maganda packaging. Nakakatempt! Haha

    1. They're my holy grail in make-up. These are the ones that I depend on when there are days that I don't want to be bothered thinking of what to put on my face. :D
